How to use photomasks with Photoshop (all versions)
Hi there!
One of my customers asked me how to use my Photomasks with Photoshop Elements 6. That’s why I thought I should write a little tutorial to show you guys and gals how to do that in Elements. I tested this tutorial in Elements 6, not sure if it will work in other versions. This is how it is, and it is very easy:
1) Open the photomask, then open the paper or picture you want to mask, and just make sure the paper or picture layer is above the mask layer. Your screen should look like this
2) Now hold down ALT key (OPTION key for MAC users), and position the mouse pointer over the line in between the two layers. See the picture below, I put a green dot just to show you where you have to position the mouse pointer.
3)Your mouse pointer will change to two overlapping circles. Click once to make the mask. And there you have it!
4)Now center the picture, and make any changes you want to do. When you are happy with what you have, just go LAYER/MERGE DOWN And that’s it!NOTE: THIS TRICK ALSO WORKS IN PHOTOSHOP CS2 AND CS3!
Thank you!!! Love, Lil
